The so called "education" in Jordan is going from bad to worse. Over the past few years, public education in Jordan became a business for funneling a lot of aid money from the Europian Union and the US. That is why we have been seeing all kinds of seminars, workshops, and conferences on education. Not to mention all of the changes to the content of textbooks. And while we are at it, all the bullshit about bringing technology to public schools including computers and internet. Add to that all these diploma/certification programs for qualifying teachers like ICDL and whatever other certifications they keep coming up with. All of the above mentioned is designed to funnel foriegn aid money into US and European Consulting companies and corrupt officials in Jordan. Those who REALLY want to solve the problems with public education will need to address the real roots of the problem. Solving these problems is very simple and that solution starts with: 1)Improve the skills of the teachers; 2) Improve the environmnet in the class room and that is by providing a clean and well maintained classrooms; and 3) eliminate all this reliance and fascination with technology. After all, all you need is a good teacher, a clean and well ventilated class room, a blackboard, and chalk. Everything beyond that is bs and meant to funnel money into the hands of people who do not add anything to the process of education

كل شيء في تراجع فلماذا إذن على التعليم أن يتقدم ؟؟؟ الميزانية لدى وزارة التربية لا تكفي للمدارس و تحسينها و تطويرها لكنها تكفي للمكافآت التي يتقاضاها موظفو مركز الوزارة في نهاية العام كما تكفي أيضا للمكافآت التي يتقاضاها موظفين الوزارة عندما يتم تكليفهم بعمل ما هم أصلا موجودين لتأديته و يأخذون عنه راتبهم ! ! ناهيك عن المحسوبيات و الواسطات و مدراء الإدارات الذين يبصمون بالعشرة لكل ما يقرره الوزير حتى لو لم يكن مناسبا ! !

In every year the minister of education comes on TV and say the following "The percentage failure of students which is around 60% is around the expected failure ....etc" to some one like me this is nonsense because how come our education plans is based on financing the education system to fail six students out of 10 after 18 years .i.e when ten students enter school six of them will fail . Simple calculations shows that if we spent millions to finance a plan to fail students . Our education must change to become like the North American or Canadian in the sense of selecting the subjects students prefer to go for i.e based on credits system and at elementary school extra efforts on building healthy personality . In addition the Human product can not be changed unless we change the material taught at schools to have humans with upgraded brains to suit nowadays thinking.
