At one point of time, Alrai newspaper was one of the most profitable companies in Jordan, where did all of these profits go? Now, the newspapers and the journalists working in them are asking the tax payers to bail them out. And why should the taxpayers bail them out to start with? So, they continue to tell us lies and more lies? Where were the daily newspapers and the daily so-called writers/journalists when the whole country was getting ripped off of its resources? Where were the news papers and journalists when the Phosphate and Omniah deals took place? Where were the newspapers and journalists when the regular Jordanians were becoming poorer by the day? Where were the newspapers and journalists when our public education system and public healthcare system at every level deteriorated to almost nothing. Do you know why the daily newspapers are being dismantled by the government? It is because these newspapers and so-called journalists working in them have lost their utiliy to the government. The last thing Jordanians go to to learn about what is going on in Jordan are the daily newspapers the Jordanian TV. Why would they do that, when all we get from our daily newspapers and our TV are lies and, at best, half truths
